Mike had his wisdom teeth taken out today. I had no idea what to expect with Braden, especially not being familiar with the facility. I tried to plan ahead and bring along some toys, activities to occupy Braden's attention in the waiting room (when no food/drink is allowed).
We started with some coloring. Braden really enjoyed taking his new crayons out of the box, piling them up and then putting them back in the box. I definitely did more coloring than he did. He also enjoyed playing with the toy they had in the waiting room. Perfect for our "transportation" theme with cars, trains and hot air balloons!

Last week I found some really cute beads/buttons with cars, trains, trucks, boats and airplanes on them. So, I slipped four beads on two different pipe cleaners. I thought Braden would have fun putting them on and taking them off. Unfortunately, the openings were a little too small for him to put them on by himself, but he enjoyed taking them off one at a time.

How do I get this back on? |
We also read some books, worked on a puzzle, and made many loops around the waiting room area. We were both more than ready to head home when the time came!
In the afternoon at home we did some tire track painting. Braden was interested until he decided to touch the yellow paint on the car tire. Then he wanted nothing to do with it.
