Let's Go Fishing!

Monday morning Braden and started with a little project.  We filled bottle with some water and number stickers to make a sensory tube.  It is difficult to see the numbers, but Braden had fun shaking them up.

I was also able to finish making the magnetic fish for Braden.  He loves carrying them around in the basket and walking with his fishing pole.

Week 3: "Numbers"

Numbers

January 21st - 27th

Lately Braden has been trying to count, repeating numbers and loves looking/pushing the buttons on his numbers book.  So, this week that is what we will explore this week!

Sensory/Discovery:

Instead of a sensory bucket this week, Braden and I will be making a water tube with numbers inside of it.  He can shake it, turn it, flip it and look for different numbers.

I have not been very successful with making themed snacks.  This week we'll just work on some counting when eating crackers, fruit or other snacks.

Friday: Music & Museum

Friday mornings we have music class with some of our friends and then we usually go to the Children's Museum afterwards.  We stay until just after lunch and then head home for nap time!

New House, Old Friends

On Thursday we had the opportunity to go to Standish to visit our friends Jasmin & Meo for a house warming play date.  It has been a while since we had a play date with so many of our baby & momma friends.  Play dates are much more chaotic and messy now that they are all on the move!  Here are a few photos from the afternoon!

Ice Boats & Car Washes

I decided to start the new week of crafts and crafts on Monday, so I have time to plan and get things together over the weekend.  So, on Thursday and Friday we did a few more transportation explorations!

Wednesday night during bath time we played with some ice boats.  I didn't really think about how quickly the ice would melt before Braden could really play with them.  So, I would like to try this again sometime in some cold water (maybe with his water table?).

I have not tried many of the transportation themed snacks this week, but we did try a few crafts!  Because Braden had a hard time with the car painting I decided to go with mess free option.
