It definitely took some convincing to get Braden to put his owl costume on after nap. He was not in a very cooperative mood. Also, this year Mike had a few of his own activities set up for Halloween night. He attempted to get Braden to participate in bobbing for apples - that was a no go. Then he demonstrated how to eat donuts on a string, and Braden was willing to participate with that. Although, by the end he just wanted to use his hands!
As far as trick or treating it was raining, so we canceled our plans to head out with friends and the mall seemed too crazy. But, Mike took Braden outside to give it a try in the neighborhood. He practiced 2-3 times at our door and he eventually was willing to say "trick or treat". Then they ventured to the neighbors, but only made it part way up their driveway before Braden was saying "go home" and "all done".
Because trick or treating was not very successful and the rain hindered plans Braden's friend Carter and family invited us to trick or treat the next day at his dad's work! The boys of course were more interested in trucks and playing ball, but they did attempt saying "trick or treat" a few times! They also got a tour of the Michaud building and saw lots of chip boxes & the big trucks!
