That's My Body!

Today was a beautiful day so B and I headed outside for some play time.  Originally I was going to trace his body onto paper & let him draw on it.  Instead I took advantage of being outside and we completed the activity with chalk.  It took quite a bit of convincing to get him to lay down and stay still long enough for me to trace him.  At one point I had to lay down and attempt to trace myself before he would let me do it.

Also for this week I put together a little "paper" doll set using felt pieces.  This was a great way to introduce boy/girl and get B thinking about how one dresses.  He really liked the fire coat, pants & hate set that I created.  

We finished off the day with making some fingerprint art and talking a little bit about fingerprints.

Where Do You Live?

Today B and I worked on a book craft together.  The book is all about the world around us.  B had fun coloring and helping glue some of the pictures onto the paper.  Since creating the book he can name the town he lives in and the street.  

The Skeleton Dance

This week we focused on body parts and also tried to incorporate information about B himself.  The information included things like chores, activities he participates in, where he lives along with his likes and dislikes.  

First we started with a little x-ray handprint project.  

Then I put together a little skeleton magnetic set for the refrigerator.  It will also be great as a Halloween decoration!

Pirate Week Overview

B and I have still been working on our weekly activities; however, I have not been keeping up with the blog (as you know).  I was still trying to organize the photos into folders for when I finally had a chance to blog.  Unfortunately, in that organization I lost most of the pictures from our Pirate week.  

We did a lot of fun activities, there was a really cute video of B singing a song and playing memory/match for the first time.  Oh well, nothing can be done now.  Here is a quick overview of some of the things we did.
